Writer Guy  X  Production Coordinator Guy  X  Cool Guy Person Dude Guy
David is a production specialist from Michigan who is also a human person with a face and even elbows.
He is an avid musician, outdoorsman, a try-sport athlete, and an NFL and NBA acolyte.
He had experience writing and directing short films until one day he stopped doing that. Now he is a production coordinator on commercials, documentaries, music videos, live events, or whatever fits his busy schedule. He continues to write and develop his ideas and will shoot his passion projects when they're ready. Someone please tell him they're ready.
He graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a degree in Media & Information, concentrating in Digital Media Production, and minoring in Fiction Filmmaking.
He has freelanced in the entertainment business for over 3 years. He has experience working on everything from low budget indie films, documentaries, and music videos to large-scale features, television series, network broadcasts, commercials, and live events. From amateur no-dollar projects to professional big-dollar blockbusters, he has been hatted as a producer, 1st assistant director, production coordinator, 1st assistant camera, sound mixer, editor, DIT, VFX data wrangler, VFX artist, graphics artist, and most impressively, production assistant.
Now he feels is a good time to unveil some of his notable accolades and contributions:
-Field Assistant, "Hard Knocks" – 2023 Emmy nominated for Outstanding Doc Series
-Production Coordinator, "From the D to the LBC." – 2022 VMA nominated music video
-Int'l Operations Assistant , "Super Bowl LVII (2023)" – NFL Films
-2019 Producing Internship at Deutsch LA in Los Angeles.
-2018-2020 Production Internship at Michigan State University.
-2017 Editorial Internship at Michigan State Men's Basketball

Oh, David is also a skilled editor, motion animator, and sound designer. He understands agency production workflows: starting from development (client brief, to strategy brief, to creative brief, to creative concept) to production (schedule, budget, director search, director bids), to pre-production (locations, catering, wardrobe, pre-pro book), to shooting (lights, camera, action), to post-production (rough cut, revisions, picture lock, color, VFX / CG / graphics, sound design, VO, music, final mix) to final deliverable. Whew.
What is he doing now? Well, he is seeking a full-time position as a producer, production manager, or production coordinator for an advertising agency, sports broadcasting network, production company, or entertainment company. Because the elusive full-time opportunities are both highly competitive and far and few between, he appreciates any and all references or dot connections you would be willing to make for him. And please don't hesitate to reach out.
Ask him nicely and he will serenade you on the piano with "Thank You," courtesy of Dido.  Ask him not nicely and you will hear "Hot Cross Buns" and will not enjoy it.
Thank you for reading. That's me ↓
